Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz

Dr. Suzanne Gilberg-Lenz is involved in women’s empowerment and public education, and appears frequently as an expert in women’s and integrative health on TV, online and in print. Dr. Suzanne completed her undergraduate education at Wesleyan University and post-baccalaureate pre-medical studies at Mills College. She earned her medical degree in 1996 from the University of Southern California School of Medicine, completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Cedars Sinai Medical Center and has been in private practice of obstetrics and gynecology in Beverly Hills, CA since 2000. After many years of a personal yoga and meditation practice, she completed her Clinical Ayurvedic Specialist degree at California College of Ayurveda in 2010 and was board certified in Integrative and Holistic medicine in 2008.

Dr. Suzanne’ s diverse background includes research experience combining Ayurveda and conventional medicine, an exploration of the relationship between psychosocial risk factors in pregnant urban teens and participation on a MacArthur Foundation funded team at University of California at San Francisco. She has worked at San Francisco’s famed Haight Ashbury Free Clinic and supervised midwives and residents at an inner city hospital in Los Angeles, California. Dr. Suzanne has taught at Cedars Sinai Medical Center, The National Ayurvedic Medical Association, Yoga Studios and Childbirth conferences and appeared TV shows such as Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers, The Tyra Banks Show, The Today Show, Headline News and Bill O’Reilly’s No Spin Zone.

Dr. Suzanne is co-founder of Cedars Sinai Medical Center’s Green Committee and is deeply committed to the promotion of healing that involves individuals, families, communities and the planet.  She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two children in a “green” renovated home with a sustainable native plants garden and organic urban mini-farm.


Patrice-Anne RutledgePatrice-Anne Rutledge, Communications Advisor

Patrice-Anne Rutledge is the founder and principal of Pacific Ridge Media, a boutique content marketing agency. As a content marketing strategist, Patrice provides consulting and training for clients around the world specializing in business blogging, social media content, strategic web content, and book publishing.

Patrice is also the author of numerous books on business and technology for leading publishers (Pearson, Macmillan, Prentice Hall, and Financial Times Press). Her titles include My LinkedInWordPress on DemandUsing FacebookTeach Yourself Google+ in 10 Minutes, and The Truth About Profiting from Social Networking.

Prior to founding Pacific Ridge Media, Patrice spent more than 10 years in communications management and consulting roles with major technology firms including Oracle, PeopleSoft, Ikon, and Sun Microsystems.

Patrice is a graduate of the University of California with a degree in French Linguistics and also speaks Italian and Spanish. She has offered her social media and communications expertise on a pro bono basis to numerous environmental charities including several through UN Volunteers.

Blaze Powers
BLAZE POWERS (aka Nian Aster) has a diverse background in entrepreneurial ventures and the non-profit sector. As Co-President of the company, “Hungry Yak Productions,” she produced and wrote the feature films “God’s Waiting List,” and “Actual Images: The Valley Murders.” A longtime activist and environmentalist, she has worked previously for Friends of the Earth and Greenpeace, and has now turned her focus to championing the Green Eating issue through her role as Founder/Director of the non-profit, “GREEN VEGGIES.” which encourages “greener eating” through meat reduction, and empowering people to make simple changes that will abate the accelerated advance of global warming.
