Can you describe how our mind and emotions affect our health and state of balance?

Some of this was addressed in the previous question, but I’d like to talk a little about the emotions.  We are taught in our world to identify heavily with our own emotions.  Instead of seeing them as something that passes through us, we instead “become” the emotion, allowing it to absorb our very identity.  We reflect this in our language when we say “I am angry” instead of “I feel anger”. This heavy identification with emotion leaves us powerless over it. Emotional resonance holds tremendous power, and because of our lack of separation from our emotions we often make ourselves sick by holding onto denser emotions, such as anger, fear and resentment.  These frequencies actually damage the cellular structures of our bodies.

Realizing that we are not our emotions, we discover the power to master them.  Realizing that we are not our thoughts, (which are closely entwined with our emotions, each perpetuating the other) we discover the power to master them also.

Eckhart Tolle said it this way, and I love this quote!:  “You are not the clouds.  You are the sky in which they arise.”

Love is the most powerful and least understood force in the universe.  Love is not what we are taught it is, and in its purity, love holds the power to heal.  Love is not limited by time or space, and even death cannot destroy it.  I have written something on what love is and what it isn’t, and if you want it, I can send it to you, as well.  Cultivating love in our lives is the single most important thing that any individual can do to make a difference in their own life and in the lives of others.
