Rachel is a married mother of two, global traveler, permaculturist, organic micro-farmer, extreme salad wizard, herbalist, democracy enthusiast, & GMO Free advocate.
Dr. David Wong is an Integrative physician who co-founded the Health Integration Center in Torrance, California in 1978. His goals are to assist people to achieve optimal health and wellness through the integration and balance of body, mind and spirit. He has been involved with Green Lifestyle Film Festival since 2007, served as Director of Strategic Partnerships and was recently appointed Board Chair of Green Lifestyles Network. One of his interests is how we use words and language in the area of communication and has lectured on the “Language of Wellness.” He is co-author of Healing What Hurts (Basic Health Publisher 2007). Dr. Wong enjoys traveling and discovering new places and cultures. He is a connoisseur of massages and spas with natural hot springs. He lives a contemplative life and follows a predominantly plant-based vegan diet.
Jen Pizzolo, Blogging Manager
Jen is a writer and editor, specializing in issues of environmental justice and human rights. She has a BA in Art History, an MA in Bilingual/Multicultural Education, and a Permaculture Design Certificate. As a food-rights activist, Jen volunteers in urban community gardens around Los Angeles, as well as with the LA Burrito Project, a group that makes and delivers vegan burritos to the houseless community in Los Angeles.
Kathleen Hallal, Blogger and Host
Kathleen is a mother of three boys with autoimmune issues. She has actively served her city, school district, and PTA in support of better policies that eliminate toxins from children’s food and environment. She was a founder of Non Toxic Irvine and she is now working to make changes on a national level as a board member of Non Toxic Communities. Kathleen is driven to raise awareness about toxins in all areas of our environment that are detrimental to our health.
