 Summer Production Intern

Position summary:
Seeking production intern to assist with all phases of video content production, as well as web video management—writing video synopsis’ and creating tags for incoming projects, uploading and publishing videos, etc.

Job type: Part-time, need to commit to at least 10-20 hours per week
Compensation: Unpaid

Production Volunteers
GLTV is seeking a volunteer production crew to assist with various upcoming productions. Assignments are based on your availability.

We are seeking the following crew positions:

  • Video Producers
  • Production Manager
  • Videographers with own video package, including lighting
  • Audio Techs with own audio gear
  • Editors with own software package
  • Motion Graphics Artists with own software package

The Green Lifestyle Film Festival fills the void left by most modern day media/visual arts entities in giving a voice to the disenfranchised and those starving for real connection and inclusion in the choices offered in films and all visual media today. We are dedicated to inspiring people to cherish their relationship with the Earth.

Community Outreach Directors

Currently seeking 3 Board Directors* as Community Outreach Directors: One for the West Coast of the US and two for Canada: Seeks out opportunities for the Green Lifestyle Film Festival (GLFF) to be represented in the greater community; oversees promotion of Green Perspectives, our organization’s newsletter and our blog (which is written in English, Spanish and Chinese); plans and conducts community outreach activities; and develops strategies for increasing public awareness of what a sustainable lifestyle involves on all levels.

Event Director

Oversees social and educational aspects of the film festival; proposes new program developments; monitors and evaluates existing programmes; facilitate discussions about program priorities for the organization

Board Operations Director

Currently seeking 1 Board Operations Director: Collaborates with Board of Directors on keeping the organization’s policies and procedures up to date; ensures diversity within the organization; conducts Strategic Planning in conjunction with Executive Committee; oversees Board governance processes; and maintains the Board Policy and Governance Manual.

Board Director as Director of Business Development

Currently seeking 1 Board Director as Director of Business Development: In conjunction with the Director of Business Development, the Finance Committee, Board of Directors, the Funding Director and Executive Director, this Board member determines the fundraising goals for the organization. Oversees the Development of an annual fundraising plan that will generate the funds needed to meet our fundraising goals; develops a plan for involving the organization’s membership in the non-grant resource development activities of the organization. Seeks out applications for grants. Investigates new resource development projects, activities, and ideas for possible use in the future.

Board Director as Director of Public Relations

Currently seeking 1 Board Director as Director of Public Relations: Planning and development of a PR strategy, and along with our Marketing Director, Twitter person, blog writer and Media Director, Web Master & Web Strategies Director, oversees our website; responds to public inquiries; oversees marketing strategies; ensures a strong web presence; conducts outreach with news media; and in collaboration with the Community Outreach Committee, plans and conducts community outreach activities.

Board Director as Membership Director

Currently seeking 1 Board Director as Membership Director: Serves our organization’s individual and organizational members. Determines and implements member benefits; ensures retention of our members through the offering of services that meet our member’s needs; implements the means for making prospective and current members aware of the resources, services, and membership benefits; implements policies, procedures, and strategies for enhancing the membership; implements ways to acknowledge new members and encourage participation in activities Identify members’ and non members’ needs and perceptions, analyzes them, and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Legal Director

Currently seeking an attorney to sit on the board as our legal counsel and to revise our By Laws.

Board Secretary

Keeps the minutes of meetings of the Board; see that all notices are given in accordance with the provisions of these bylaws or as required by law; be custodian of the Corporation; file necessary reports with the state and federal government and maintains a roster of Board Directors; and perform such other functions as directed by the President , VP and other Board members .URGENTLY NEEDED!!*****

Web Strategies Director for GLFF Marketing and Communications

(adds Podcasts, Facebook, Twitter, links, blogs and other social marketing etc & Video footage to our Web Site) URGENTLY NEEDED!!*****

Director of Online Publications

In charge of online newsletter & email newsletter for subscribers

Director of Media Relations

Your quest: to build all of the film festivals’ communications, moving away from print publications and onto the web (eg. electronic newsletters) in collaboration with the Director of Online Publications. In charge of contacting all print, TV & Radio and online media.

Director of Media Development

In charge of reader subscriptions, RSS feeds, interactive material, blogs, twittering, etc and even videos (duties sometimes overlaps with Director of Media Relations so both work together)

Director of Special Projects

e.g. our Teen/Preteen Project, The Eco Salon Film Series etc. URGENTLY NEEDED!!*****

Director, Project Development

Seeks out, enlists and creates partnerships with like-minded organizations. E.g. our current partners are Earth Day Network and Green Society.org

Director, Public Outreach

Works together with the Project Development Director, Volunteers Coordinator and Director of Special Projects in getting the public’s participation in our various projects. Works in conjunction with:

  • Director, Event Planning
  • Director, Business Development

Viral Marketing Director

In charge of viral marketing (i.e. communication of information using pre-existing social networks to produce increases awareness of our organization)

Asst Art Director

Assists our Art Director (Dede) in designing and overseeing all graphic arts requirements

Communications Director

Writes and sends out press releases etc.

Director of Video Productions

Oversees all the programming and online videos shoots and works directly with our GLTV Supervising Producer (Kristina)
